U.S. Architectural and Transportation Barriers Compliance Board (Access Board)

The U.S. Access Board is the designated federal agency responsible for setting accessibility standards under the Americans with Disabilities Act, Architectural Barriers Act and Rehabilitation Act. In addition to their responsibilities to develop accessible guidelines, they are also given authority to enforce the Architectural Barriers Act. Federal Communications Commission (FCC)

The FCC's primary Link to telecommunications consumers. The FCC address all types of consumer-related matters - from answering questions and responding to consumer complaints, to distributing consumer education materials and assuring consumer input in their policy making activities. The disability on-line and special initiatives unit of the US Department of Labor's Employment & Training Administration is responsible for providing guidance on accessibility issues in One-Stop environments, provide policy guidance in the administration of the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) and facilitate partnering and collaboration with the WIA partners. National Council on Disability (NCD)

U.S. Department of Labor (DOL)

The U.S. Department of Labor is responsible for administering and enforcing the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). The department manages and implements the Disability OnLine. DDWP develops and implements workforce disability policy and program initiatives to address structural, programmatic and systematic employment barriers for people with disabilities and established an Office of Disability Policy (ODEP). Under the U.S. Department of Labor, the Office of Disability Policy (ODEP) provides national leadership by developing and influencing disability-related employment policies as well as practices that affect the employment of people with disabilities. Air Carrier Access Act

The US Department of Transportation Aviation Consumer Protection Division:

• Receives informal complaints from members of the public regarding aviation consumer issues
• Verifies compliance with the Department Of Transportation's (DOT) aviation consumer protection requirements
• Provides guidance to the industry and members of the public on consumer protection matters
• Makes available to the public information on pertinent consumer matters
