ADD Listening Tour 2010
Dear Friends and Colleagues:
The Administration on Developmental Disabilities (ADD) is embarking on a public outreach and consultation process to inform and prioritize the most pressing issues for our communities., Through a series of meetings we are entitling "Envisioning the Future" Summit Series. Your ideas will be used as part of the process to develop goals and objectives in a five-year strategic plan for the Administration on Developmental Disabilities, to be completed by Spring 2011. We hope to hear how self-advocates, family members, allies, and professionals describe their vision of the future.Who is invited?
Members of the public are invited to come and simply listen, or to present their ideas. Space will be limited and participants will be asked to register in advance. Opportunities to share written testimonies and commentary through a website are also available.

Registration is now open for the "Envisioning the Future" Summit Series -- Philadelphia, Orlando, Dallas, Detroit, Denver. All cities are currently open for registration through the website, www.envision2010.net or via telephone at Enterprise Services & Technologies, Inc. Phone: 301-588-6046. TTY users please call via Maryland Relay 7-1-1 (This number may be used from any state or territory.)
The registration process is handled on a first-come, first-served basis, with the following considerations: Seating precedence will be given to individuals presenting testimony. All requests for presenting testimony must be complete, including a summary statement. Ultimately we would like your written testimony. ADD reserves the right to provide a balanced opportunity for individuals with developmental disabilities and families to present.
Individuals unable to attend in person will be able to participate via: Commentary and testimony can be submitted online. For assistance submitting online, please use the phone number provided above.
The ability to submit commentary and testimony online will be open through February 1, 2011. CART Transcriptions will be provided at every event and the transcriptions will be available on our website under the tab "Transcripts."
